February 3rd - 6th Yogurt's Birthday Weekend

Zu Juergens Geburtstag gab es einen Ueberraschung Trip nach Khanom. Mit dabei Lynn und Keith. Walter und Helga habe uns vor Ort getroffen.

On the 4th in the morning we took off for a fishing trip...The sea was a little rough so not all of us felt comfortable on board the old fishing trawler...

Am 4. Februar sind wir zum Hochsee Fischen aufgebrochen, Leider war das Meer etwas unruhig, so dass sich nicht alle von uns so super wohl fuehlten auf dem alten Fischerkahn...

Back ashore it was almost dinner time...but before a birthday cake arrived for Yogurt ( I did not order it)

Sunday, we went to TubKaek Beach with Mellody, Lynn's granddaughter. The boys went fishing and we built sandcastles...

Am Sonntag dann sind wir zum TubKaek Beach gefahren, Mellody, Lynns Enkelin war auch mit von der Partie. Waehrend die Jungs fischten haben wir Sandburgen gebaut.

Doi Saket and Chiang Mai

After another day in Chiang Mai we went south again and stopped in Doi Saket for 2 nights. Had a lovely bungalow at Jasmine Garden Hills and went around the area.
Then we spent the last two nights in Chiang Mai and also went to Bo Saeng where all the furniture manufactureres, umbrella factories are located  and other typical Thai handicraft is produced.

Nach einem weiteren Tag in Chiang Rai sind wir dann wieder Richtung Sueden aufgebrochen und sind bis Doi Saket gefahren. Hier blieben wir dann 2 Naechte im Jasmine Garden Hills, bis wir wieder nach Chiang Mai retour fuhren und hier noch 2 Naechte blieben und von dort noch nach Bo Saeng fuhren. Hier sind die Moebelfabriken, Schmuckhaendler, Silberschmieden, Schirmhaendler etc....

Chiang Rai

Nach 5 Tagen sind wir von Pai aus weiter Richtung Chiang Rai gefahren. Wir nahmen die Route ueber Fang und es war weiter als gedacht, jedoch war die Aussicht und die Strasse einfach schoen. Nach 6 Stunden tat uns beiden der Hintern weh und wir waren froh, das Guesthouse gefunden zu haben

After 5 days in Pai we decided to leave and went to Chiang Rai. It took longer than expected as we took the route via Fang. However the scenary was worth it and the Yogurt just enjoyed the bends....After 6 hours on the bike we were happy to arrive in Chiang Rai and happy with the accomodation.
