Diesmal haben wir uns für einen anderen Visa Run entschieden und haben diesen mit der Recherche von Mae Sot und Sukkothai kombiniert

We found a great space to stay at Ban U Sak, an old Teak Mansion, built the traditional style. We were the only guests, and it was good not to have internet access We just loved it there and stayed for 2 nights.
Wir haben eine wunderschöne Uebernahtungsmöglichkeit gefunden in Mae Sot, das Ban U Sak, ein altes Teak House im traditionellen Stil gebaut...Wir waren nicht nur die einzigen Gäste, auch war es mal wieder eine tolle Erfahrung ohne Internet zu sein - hier blieben wir zwei Nächte
The market in Mae Sot still shows the poverty of the people in the region. Many people do ride bicycles as they do not have the chance to pay for a Scooter. However, everybody is super friendly Der lokale Markt in Mae Sot zeigt ganz deutlich, dass hier Mensccen einfach ärmer sind,sie müssen noch Velo fahren, weil sie sich keinen Scooter leisten können.

During our research we found another beuatiful Resort, the Swiss Zealand. An excellent place to relax, about 20 kms away from town.
Während unserer Recherche am zweiten Tag fanden wir ein weiteres super schönes Resort in der Pampa.- Das Swiss Zealand liegt ca. 20 km ausserhalb in schöner Kulisse.
It has been 14 years since I have last been to Mae Sot, lots of development has taken place, however my favourite restaurant the ´ Khaumao Khaofang` still existed and we had excellent food in this imaginary jungle garden restaurant, which is also home to a Pelican, Yogurt´s favourite bird....
Vor 14 Jahren war ich das erste Mal in Mae Sot, viel hat sich verändert, gewachsen ist der Grenzort. Mein Lieblingsrestaurant der ´Khaiumao Khaufang`hingegen, gibt es immer noch. Hier kann man fein speisen in einem JungelGarten, auch einen Pelikan gibt es hier - Yogurt´s Lieblingsvogel.
The following morning we decided to take a different route to Tak. On the map the road 1175 looked just perfect, which was true for the first 30 km.....beautiful rainforest, windy road, well paved, the morning mist in the mountains.... as luck had it the road turned into a semi-dirt-track so it took us 3 hours to pas the 90 kms through the jungle. But it is one of the nices rainforest roads in Thailand!
Am nächsten Tag entschlossen wir uns eine andere Route zu nehmen, um nach Tak zu kommen. Auf der Landkarte sahd die 1175 auch super aus, die ersten Kilometer durch Regenwald, der Nebel hin in den Bergen, was für eine schöen Szenerie ausser Kuhherden kein Verkehr, nach ca. 20 km wurde aus der Strasse dann Piste - so dass wir für 90 km 3 Std brauchten....Aber trotzdem ist es eine der schöesten Urwaldstrassen Thailands!
We then continued our journey to Sukkothai as we did not find Tak very interesting.
Weiter gings dann nach Sukkothai, hier haben wir auch übernachtet im Historical District.
Eine kleine Karaoke Bar mchte uns einen guten Fisch am Abend.
The following morning we left Sukkothai in the pouring rain and continued our journey via Si Sachanalai Historical Park to Dem Chai, close to Phrae to visit Conrad and Alek at the Mulberry Farm. The mulberry jam is delicious!
Am nächsten Morgen fuhren wir dann über den Si Sichanali National Park heimwärts und haben vorher Conrad und Alek in Den Chai auf der Mulberry Farm besucht.
