Amazing Siam: Khanom March

March 18th we headed South to Khanom - COVID fear was already present and the roads through Bangkok were empty..

Am 18. Mätz füuhren wir gen Süen und Covid hatte das Land schon in seinen Fängen. Viele Touristen flogen heim und die Menschen wurden angehalten daheim zu bleiben... so leere Strassen sieht man in Bangkok selten.

Quick stop in Prachuap Kiri Khan, before we decided to drive further south to Hua Hin and spend the night at Triple Z Hotel - as usual

March 19th we arrived sound and safe in Khanom. Benji joined us as Phuket was already going into a lockdown...

Am 19. März sind wir samt Benjawan in Khanom eingetroffen. Da Phuket, wo Benjawan normalerweise lebt, bereits in den Lockdown ging, haben wir uns auf eine menage a trois eingestellt.

During the curfew at night we cooked a lot and played Rummy Cup...

Lucky we were - Khanom´s beaches were never closed so I could do my morning runs, cycling and hang out at CC Beach Bar

Kwaeng Pao Bay

After 7 weeks at Benji´s place time for a change so whe moved to Baan Thalay at Nadan Beach just before Nai Plao...

8 km hike to the waterfall with Andrea and Monique... I loved our early morning walks to the view point

The cat whisperer and his crowd... Moma, Stockings - aka Joe Cocker, Socks and Spotty were our daily companions at Baan Thalay. Moma stays with John an Andrea now whereas the three little ones have found their forever homes.
