First thing after Harin picked me up from the airport - Wat Hua Lamphong - donation for a coffin!

Dieses Mal flog ich alleine nach Bangkok und Jürgen hat die Viecher gepflegt. Erster Halt, nachdem Harin ich abgeholt hat Wat Hua Lampong - hier habe ich einen Sarg gespendet!

Day 2 -
Visit at the National Museum, which is hosted in a Palace. The Wat of this Palace is home to an important Buddha Statue. The wall paintings are the oldest in Bangkok and show scenes of the last life of Buddha.

Ein Besuch im National Museum, das in einem alten Palast untergebracht ist. Hier befindet sich auch ein Tempel mit einer der wichtigsten Duddha Statuen des Landes. Die Wandmalereien sind die ältesten Bangkoks und zeigen Sezenen aus dem letzten Leben Buddhas.

For 48 years the National Museum has foreign volunteers who guide you through the halls of the Palace in various languages, i. e. German, English, French, Japanese.

Seit 48 Jahren arbeiten im National Museum ausländische Freiwille, die wunderbare Führungen durch die Paläste machen, so in Deutsch, Englisch, französisch, japanisch.

Onwards to the amulette market and to Wat Po and its famous reclining Buddha.

Weiter gehts zum Amulett Markt und Wat Po mit seinem berühmten liegenden Buddha.

Kleine Figuren stellen Szenen aus dem Alltag dar und auch Massage und Dehnungsübungen werden präsentiert.

We hopped on a bus which took us straigth to Golden Mount. Due to Loy Krathong there was a temple fair.
Weiter mit dem Bus zum Golden Mount, wegen Songkhran fand hier ein Tempoelmarkt statt.

Chao Mae Tuptim Schrein, hier wird die gleichnamige Fruchtbarkeitsgöttin angebetet. Im Volsmund heisst er auch Penisschrein.

Aerobic auf dem Friedhof? Auch das ist möglich, der Tae Chio Cemetary wurde vor etlichen Jahren als Park umfunktioniert.

Am Abend dann zum Huay Kwang Nachtmarkt mit eunem intersanten Schrein nebendran, hier wurde es nachts richtig voll mit Gläubigen.

Diese Ratte muss man mmit dem Mittelfinger anheben, wieder abstellen, einen Wunsch machen und wenn man sie noch einmal hochheben kann geht der Wunsch in Erfüllung - bei mir hats geklappt :-)
