On August 1st when I woke up I heard a strange noise and looking out of the window, I was shocked to see that the roads around us have turned into rivers....The next day the sun was out again and the roads dry.

Kamtieng Flower Market , Chiang Mai
Some flowers found their way into our garden
The new outside table
Kamtieng flower market is just amazing, driving through the narrow alleys all sorts of plants an trees can be found at very reasonable prices - Handy having a pick-up truck to take them home :-)

Doi Saket July 2011

After three days the furniture we have ordered in Chiang Mai was delivered and the house looked like a home.

Lynn stayed with us until July 28th before going back to the UK.

Moving House

We had a farewell party at Sala Thai on July 5th and our move was planned for July 7th, so Lynn and the cats flew from Krabi to Chiang Mai that day. Yogurt and I were ready, all our things were wrapped and we just waited for the truck to come.... Of course the truck did not come that day - it came a day later late afternoon and we helped loading it. Once the truck was loaded and on its way, we also hit the road, however as it was already late in the evening, we only made it to Surat Thani, spent the night there. Lynn arrived in Chiang Mai with the cats sound and safe and they all spent the following three night at Conrad's  (Thanks a mill, Lynn and Conrad!!!)

A lovely farewell at Chao's and Estelita's

As we wanted to book Lynn's ticket, we found out that the car needed new suspensions, so Lynn and I took a motorbike taxi from Tesco, Krabi to the Airport, whilst Yogurt waited for the car to be fixed

First night in Surat Thani, we found a nice foodstall along the road

The next day we drove 900 kms to Nakhon Sawan, where we found a lovely hotel for the night

After 400 kms we got to Chiang Mai  and bought two kitchen cabinets which were instantly installed by Conrad and Yogurt, after the welcome beer...

Visa Run to Sadao June 2011

June 11th the visa run was due and this time we did it together with Lynn and decided to make it another mini holiday. We went to Sadao and then spent the night in Hat Yai and got a chance to see Asha and Pawan, before going to the border the next day. On our way back we spent another night in Songkhla before returning to Ao Nang.
