Back in Thailand

Three weeks after the sinus surgery Yogurt was allowed to fly again, so we booked a flight for October 22nd.  Thanks you so much, Tiou and Bernard and Mama for taking care of the cats and Rusty and the house and garden whilst we were away!!!!!!
Unfortunately Skippy was bitten by a poisonous snake and died shortly before we got home.   Rusty had been bitten by a dog and had to undergo 3 surgeries whilst we were away - Bernard and Tiou really had a hell of a lot of trouble with our pets.

Drei Wochen nach der Stirnhoehlen OP durfte Juergen wieder fliegen und so sind wir am 23. Oktober wieder in Thailand gelandet. Vielen Dank an Tiou und Bernard und Mama, die auf Katzen Hund und Haus aufgepasst haben!!!!!

Leider wurde Skippy kurz vor unserer Ankunft von einer Schlange gebissen und konnte uns nicht begruessen. Rusty wurde dann auch noch von einem Hund gebissen, die Wunde hatte sich entzuendet und der Arme musste 3 Mal operiert werden. Tiou und Bernard hatten echt Stress, die Armen.

We celebrated Coca´s doggy birthday in Bavarian dresses in a Thai restaurant that serves Italian food - globalisation is on its way.....

Coca´s Hundegeburtstag wurde in Bayerischen Kleidern in einem Thai REstaurant mit italienischen Essen gefeiert - soll einer sagen, dass das nicht Globalisiserung ist.

What an Angry Bird

 San Kamphaeng Hot Springs, about 15 kms from Doi Saket. The water is about 105 degrees and is cooled down to 45 degrees. There is a swimming pool and  private bath houses or you can just pout your feet in the warm water while you wait for the eggs to boil in the hot spring water.

 San Kamphaeng Hot Springs, ca. 15 km von Doi Saket entfernt sind heisse Quellen, in denen das Wasser mit 105 Grad aus dem Boden kommt. Runtergekuehlt auf 45 Grad kann man hier einen Tag verweilen, im Swimming Pool, in privaten Badehaeusern oder einfach beim Fusbad waehrend man darauf wartet, dass die Eier im heissen Wasser gar werden.

After having found back into our daily routine Jasmine and Christian came to visit. We did a bicycle tour with Biggi and Hardy, went to Sirikit Botanical Garden and to Samoeng, visited the umbrella factory in Bosang and had a good time together.
Nachdem wir und gut wieder in unseren thailaendischen Alltag eingewoehnt hatten, kamen Jasmin und Christian uns fuer 4 Tage besuchen. Wir machten eine Velo Tour, fuhren zum Botanischen Garten und nach Samoeng und besuchten die Schirmfabrik in Bosang.

Loy Krathong November 28th. Yogurt had the romantic idea of having a pick-nick at Mae Kuang Dam....
Zu Loy Kratong hatte Juergen die romantische Idee am Stausee ein Pick nick zu machen.

Of course Rusty was there too

Somehow we forgot to bring a second chair.....

Finally being able to run again, my tendon has healed pretty well and I also enjoy bike rides with Reini....the last tour was 64 kms...The temperature is ideal, it is around 15 degrees in the morning until the mist over the fields rises then the temperature climbs to 28 during the day.
Ich kann auch endlich wieder normal Joggen gehen, die Sehne in meinem Bein ist gut verheilt. Gerne fahre ich zusaetzlich mit Reini Velo, die letzte Tour war 64 km. Das Klima ist momentan ideal bei 15 Grad in der Frueh.

In December Rich came to stay with us for 10 days and we rode the bikes to Phayao and through the mountains. As the nights get chilly we have started the bonfire season in our garden.....
Im Deyember war Rich fuer 10 Tage bei uns, wir haben Toeff Touren u.a. nach Phayao gemacht und da es schon wieder Winter wird, hat auch die LAgerfeuer Zeit im Garten wieder angefangen.

On 12.12.12 a new family member arrived. Tiou and Bernard gave him to us for x-mas....just take a look  The pics go without saying....MERCI à vous deux!!!!

Am 12.12.12 wurde uns von Bernard und Tiou zu Weihnachten ein kleines Perserbuesi geschenkt....Mr. Mungo...die Bilder sprechen fuer sich

Rusty accepted Mungo on first sniff, whereas Kalle, still disturbed by the loss of Skippy still struggles....
Rusty hat Mungo sofort akzeptiert, Kalle hingegen, der noch immer sehr verstoert ist, hat so seine Schwierigkeiten....
